MotoTec Shipping, Cancellation & Return Policy
Order Cancellation Fee:
Canceled orders will receive up to 5% fee removed from the refund unless we can receive your canceled email and issue the refund the same day. This is because our credit card merchant does not remove the credit card fee on payments batched each night.
Vehicle Returns:
MotoTec USA will not accept unauthorized returns. If you need to return an item, please contact us prior to doing so. If conditions for the product return as stated below are met, we will issue you a return authorization number (RA #) that must be marked on your return package. With the exception of wrong products shipped caused by our error, shipping costs for returned items will be buyer's responsibility as well as the original shipping charge, and up to 5% transaction +10% restocking fee. No return will be accepted without an invoice number or date of sale. To receive a refund or credit, returned items must be in original packaging, unused, in original condition, and in transit back to MotoTec USA within 10 days of receiving the product. Items will be inspected prior to the issuance of any refund or credit.
Part Returns:
The following part items are not acceptable for return: All High-Performance Parts, Electrical Items (Battery Chargers, Controllers, CDIs, Regulators, Stators, etc.), Items Sold By The Foot, Clearance Items, Tools, Engines, Special Orders, Manuals, Books, Oils/Chemicals (consumables) or any Used Parts. Part returns will follow the same policy as vehicle returns.
Damaged / Defective Items:
MotoTec USA will ship out free replacement parts if any shipping damage occurs or if products arrive with missing/defective parts. Labor is not included; customers are responsible for replacing these parts. Shipping charges for warranty parts are only covered if shipping within the 48 contiguous States. Should the item be majorly damaged beyond warranty repair, MotoTec USA, at its discretion, will offer a return or ship a replacement unit. Customers are responsible for boxing and safely packing the item for shipping; we cannot provide boxes or packing material. If damage is not reported to us within 10 days of receiving the item, the shipping companies will not honor the damage claim, and the customer will be responsible for the shipping charges. For items shipped LTL Freight, damage must be noted with the driver on the delivery receipt at the time of signature, or for concealed damage, they must be notified within 5 days of receipt; otherwise, the claim will be denied.
Lost or Stolen Items: (Signature Service & Shipping Insurance)
MotoTec USA is not responsible for any products lost or stolen after being left at a business or residence without the signature service purchased on the order, or if shown with picture delivery. This is because FedEx will automatically deny all claims without a signature. If a product is not received, FedEx advises the customer to file a police report for theft and claim it on homeowner’s insurance. We also offer shipping insurance through FedEx for an additional fee. If a product is lost in transit, FedEx will pay the entire insured value, but if additional insurance is not on the package, they will only cover the minimum $100 insurance plus the original shipping charge. Example of no coverage: If insurance is on a package, but the package is delivered without a signature and the customer claims they did not receive it, FedEx will not pay the claim. Only when lost in transit, not after showing delivered.
SMS Text Messaging Contact:
By providing your phone number on an order, you authorize us to send text messages to reach you about shipping issues or product issues if you are not reachable by email. Message/data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Incorrect Product Specifications and/or Pictures:
Product specifications are provided to us by our manufacturers and may not always be correct. Products may also vary from the displayed picture, usually due to product improvements over time. MotoTec USA is not responsible for original or return shipping fees should the specs or picture be different than the actual item. Please contact us if you need to confirm anything specific about the item before placing your order.
Extra Shipping Fees:
For LTL Shipments, if the customer is not reachable by the phone number provided on the order, the shipping carrier will charge daily storage fees until the customer is available or the item is returned. The customer is responsible for any and all of these extra fees. We also try to help mitigate these storage fees by authorizing the carrier to drop the product in the driveway. When this occurs, we are not responsible for theft, and the customer will be charged for the lift gate fee. If the customer is not available and it cannot be dropped off, such as in an apartment building, then the customer is responsible for the return shipping charges as well. Our LTL Carriers will almost always attempt delivery with a Semi and a 53ft Trailer. If your delivery address cannot accept a truck of this size to deliver or turn around on your road, the LTL Carrier will require you to change the address, meet them at a different location, such as a corner of the road, or pick up the shipment from their local terminal. If the customer cannot accommodate the delivery, then they will be responsible for the original and return shipping fees.
When shipping to Canada or other countries, our website will only charge shipping. FedEx and other carriers will bill the customer directly for the customs/Duty fees. The customer is responsible for paying these fees to the carrier directly.
Guarantee:
MotoTec USA products are guaranteed to be quality merchandise. Many products carry a Manufacturer's warranty. MotoTec USA will pass this warranty on to the buyer. Buyer should notify MotoTec USA immediately upon discovery of any product defect. Defective items must be returned for replacement in accordance with our return policy and at the buyer's expense. We will replace all defective items that meet the return/replacement requirements, but we will not accept any liability for loss or inconvenience caused by their use or failure. All warranties are voided if a defect has been caused in whole or in part by improper installation, abuse or misuse. We reserve the right to withhold issuance of credit until the returned defective part has been examined and tested. *Any used product offered by MotoTec USA (wheels, or any other parts) are not included in these policies unless otherwise noted.
Product Use:
Some products sold by MotoTec USA may not be approved for highway use or public roads. It is the complete responsibility of the buyer to ensure that their vehicles are operated by all federal, state, and local laws. Buyer assumes all liability and risk associated with the use of motorized products and holds MotoTec USA and its owners harmless from any liability.
