    Q & A

Q: How long is it warranted for? Can it be charged with 48v solar panels?

    A: DELTA's warranty is 24 months.
DELTA's solar input is 400W 10-65V DC 10A max, so any solar panel within this range should work with it. But please keep in mind when you are using third party solar panels that the connector of the solar panel is MC4 type and note that EF products already have an MPPT board inside that controls solar charge. If the third brand solar panel has a separate controller, it might affect the solar charge.

Q: My Delta seems to self discharge when I let inverters on with no load. What are the DC/AC current or power each converters (USB, 12V and 220V) use when no load are plugged on them? Are those powers shown on display or not?

A:  If you keep the DC output ports turned on without using them and without powering off DELTA, DELTA will be on ( even if the LCD screen is turned off) for 24hrs before shutting off automatically. And if the AC output ports are turned on, DELTA will be on for 12hrs before shutting off automatically. During this time your DELTA will consume power to stay turned on, so it's normal for the SOC to drop.
If you wish reduce the power loss, then turn off your AC/DC output ports when you aren't using them, or turn off your DELTA once you have finished using it.

Q: is there an option to connect 2 deltas together? parallel connection to double outputs?

A: Theoretically speaking, you can connect as many DELTAs in series (but not in parallel) as you want. However, the efficiency of the machines will be seriously compromised (The energy consumption of the inverters grows with the number of the connected machines). As a result, we do not recommend connecting more than 2 DELTAs in series, and it is necessary to fully charge every DELTA before you connect them together. Please keep in mind that connecting DELTA together will not increase the rated output but will only expand the capacity.

Q: Can I use it for air conditioner? 18000 btu

A: DELTA's ability to run the air conditioner depends on the air conditioner's specifications ( wattage, voltage, current).
DELTA's AC out put is 1800W total (Surge 3300W), so if you air conditioner is within this limit, DELTA will be able to run it.
We have tested DELTA on a1800W air conditioner and it was able to run it for 0.6hrs.

Q: Are the generator and solar panels waterproof?

A: DELTA isn't waterproof, so avoid getting it in contact with any liquid, and do not immerse DELTA in water or get it wet. Also do not use DELTA in rainy or humid environments.
As for the solar panels, all EF solar panels are IP67 rated, which means they can be submerged in a body of water up to a meter deep for 30 mins. They are also dustproof, durable, and suitable for outdoor usage. Please keep in mind when you want to clean your solar panel to use a gentle stream of water and not high-pressure water sources such as a jet spray, as high pressure may damage the solar panels.

Q: Trying to determine how many panels to order? Read that more improve charge times. What other benefits do more panels provide?

A: To charge your DELTA as fast as possible, we suggest you use 4 sets of 110W solar panel connected in parallel (which will be able to charge the unit in 4-8 hrs). Or you can use 3 sets of 160W solar panel (which will be able to charge the unit in 3.5-7 hrs).
Using less solar panels will increase the charging time. But we do not recommend you using 4 sets of 160W solar panel as it will be too much for DELTA.
Please keep in mind that these results are only applicable to EcoFlow solar panels, as we haven't tested other brands' solar panels. So if you choose to use a third party solar panel, the results might vary.

    Q: Can I run a small (500w or 1000w on this?

A: Yes, 10 amp max, will take 3 to 4 hours or even more to charge; I use ac off the rectifier since it will do 20 amps. 400w system is what I have and and works fine.

Q: I bought a xt60 splitter to connect to both solar and the car at the same time but it doesn’t seem that both currents are being used as input at the same time. I want to charge it as soon as the vehicle turns on, without having to disconnect the solar

A: DELTA doesn't support dual charging. So using 2 methods of input at the same time will do more harm than good to your power station, because different methods of input have different voltages.
We highly don't suggest you keep trying to charge the unit in that way to avoid it being damaged.
If you wish to speed up the charging, then you can choose AC input or using one method at a time.

Q: Can the power station be used to power a small space heater?

A: That depends on the amount of power the space heater needs.
If it is within DELTA's output range, then it should be able to power it without any problems.

Q: what size gen do I need ro run 792 watts?

A: We suggest you check DELTA series as they have higher AC output than RIVER series.
Either DELTA mini or DELTA might be a more suitable option for your 792 watts needs, but that depends on how long do you want to run the device that consumes 792W.
DELTA mini has a capacity of 882Wh and an AC output of 1400W total (Surge 2100W).
DELTA has a capacity of 1260Wh and an AC output of 1800W total (Surge 3300W).
If you wish to run it for a longer time then choose a power station with a higher capacity.

Q: Does any Delta power station AC output supports a 3 prong plug with grounding.

A: DELTA's AC output supports a 3 prong plug. There are small holes in the middle between the 2 prong in the AC output. Those are for the third prong. But please keep in mind that DELTA's sockets are not grounded and we didn't do grounding-free optimization. Therefore, if you want to charge or power a device that needs grounding, it is recommended to use an adapter to simulate grounding.
The picture below shows the 3rd hole for 3-prong devices.

Q: Would run my electric car for a few miles?

A: DELTA can charge EVs if they are within it's output range. However, the mileage that can be lasted after one charge by DELTA varies, it is depends on the types of EVs you are driving and the ambient temperatures. You should also keep on mind that DELTA's sockets are not grounded and we didn't do grounding-free optimization, so you will need to get an adapter to simulate grounding.

Q: I found an information  That says  Ah=wh/v Delta : 1260wh/50.4v=25ah River:pro : 720wh/28.8v=25ah What is the difference between the first voltage & the second voltage  What will be used in middle east?

A: First of all you should know the voltage for the battery before calculating Ah. Our products with NCM battery have 3.6 voltage, and products with LFP battery have 3.2 voltage.
Both DELTA and RIVER Pro have NCM battery, therefore the voltage you should use for calculating is 3.6 v.
    DELTA's capacity is 1260Wh, which would be (1260/3.6) 350Ah.
RIVER Pro's capacity is 720Wh, which would be (720/3.6) 200Ah.

Q: I want to charge my delta with my Toyota’s 12 V cigarette lighter port but the male DC plug that came with the delta melted both times I tried this. Toyota alternator puts out 140 watts and 12 volt port is 15 amps. How can I make this work?

A: The amount of current should be limited by the input device not the source. All cars are capable of more than 10 amps and as I said the limit should be the EcoFlow or the fuse size in your cars power outlet.
Some ones sticking it to you.

Q: Will this unit power an AC unit if not very cold temps but when heat is 95 and humidity is 85%?

A: DELTA has the capacity of 1260Wh, and should be able to run any device within its out put range [AC output : 1800W total (Surge 3300W), 120Vac (60Hz)].
So check and see if your air conditioner input needs matches DELTA's output.

Q: If I leave the DC output button ON all the time, and even when I’m not charging my phone, etc., will that waste energy?

A: If you leave DC output on without using it (idle), DELTA will remain turned on for 24 hrs before shutting off, during this time DELTA will continue to consume energy.
We suggest that you turn AC and DC outputs off after you have finished using them.

Q: Can the EcoFlow Delta batteries be replaced after the 500 cycles?

A: Currently battery replacement service isn't available, so if the battery gets damaged or shows any signs of irregular function, you can contact support@ecoflow.com and they will help you on the spot.
Also keep in mind that after 500 cycles, the battery should still be functioning normally but the capacity drops to 80% of its original capacity.

Q: How long will this generator keep my refrigerator on?

A: The capacity of DELTA is 1260Wh and different devices will affect the power efficiency of DELTA.
Devices like refrigerators are not using continuous power, they only run when the inside temperature is higher than the setting. Then the refrigerator will run for a while to get the temperature under the setting. The rest of the time it will stay at standby and not use power. We are not able to know how frequently the refrigerator will run(how many times it will run in an hour). Therefore, we are not able to forecast the exact runtime.

Q: can you use it for a pellet stove if I lost power and fridge and freezer?

A: DELTA should be able to power any device within it's output range, which is 1800W total (Surge 3300W) for the AC output.
So if your devices' specifications are within that range, DELTA should be able to power them.

Q: What are the dimensions, weight, and how loud is the fan in comparison to something else?

    A: DELTA's dimensions are 15.7 x 8.3 x 10.6in (40 x 21 x 27cm), and it weighs 30.9lbs (14kg).
As for the fan noise we have tested it under 3 different conditions and here are the results:
If AC outlet is powering a device for less than 500W; the fan will be at 10% of its full speed, and it will produce less than 40DB(2-meter distance) .If AC outlet is powering a device between 500W-1200W; the fan will be at 30% of its full speed, and it will produce less than 45DB(2-meter distance). If AC outlet is powering a device above1200W; the fan will be at 100% of its full speed, and it will produce less than 50DB(2-meter distance). So DELTA's fan isn't noisy.

Q: Can you connect this EcoFlow Delta to an additional battery or another EcoFlow Delta or Delta mini to increase the power?

A: DELTA doesn't have an extra battery that you can connect it with it but you can connect it to another DELTA in series.
You can't connect more than 2 fully-charged DELTAs in series using the AC charging cable to get continuous power and supply appliances with high output requirements for up to 1.8 hours. In this mode you can't connect EF DELTA to the power grid using an AC charging cable, or the overcurrent protection may be triggered. You can connect DELTA to a home power grid and charge each DELTA separately. We do not recommend you to charge more than two DELTAs at the same time. Otherwise, the excessive load may cause damage to the home power grid.
Please keep in mind that this will not increase the output of DELTA (it will remain 1800W total for the AC output), this will only increase its capacity to make it run devices longer.

Q: I bought the EcoFlow Delta with two 160 w panels, can i add another 160 w panel and have three panels hooked in series ?

A: The Delta internal controller will limit the input from your solar panels to maximum 400 watts, so you can’t “overload” the unit. And since solar panels are never 100% efficient, the extra input wattage from your 3 x 160 = 480watt from your panels will likely produce more solar input than 4x 100 watt panels working at a lower efficiency. Just make sure you follow the directions with the panels in connecting in “series” vs “parallel” (they provide pictures) so you get maximum advantage

Q: Can you connect a River power station to a Delta power station, in order to start small and expand over time?

A: No, you can't. As they aren't compatible.

Q: I would like to power an electric trolling motor on a canoe. The trolling motor is 12 volts with a peak amp draw of 40 amps. What would it take to power the motor with the EcoFlow DELTA Power Station?

A: It depends on the specifications of the electric trolling motor. Keep in mind that DELTA AC output for the US version is: 6 outlets, 1800W total (Surge 3300W), and its battery capacity is 1260Wh
. So as long as your devices match DELTA 's specifications they should work normally when powered by it.

Q: Can i use this for 1.5hp electric motor?

A: It depends on the specifications of the electric motor. Keep in mind that DELTA output is: 1800W total (Surge 3300W), and its battery capacity is 1260Wh. So as long as your devices match DELTA's specifications they should work normally when powered by it.

Q: Can ii continue to charge while operating?

A: You can charge it through its AC input and use the DC output at the same time.

Q: How long does the unit retain its charge after it has been fully charged?

A: If you don't use it at all after fully charging it has a shelf life of 1 year.

    Q: Do you have a 220–240-volt model.

    A: Yes, there is.

Q: Can I use with a transfer switch in my brakers panel ?

A: As long as it has an XT60 connector that has total power input that is lower than 400W(65V, 10A max) for DELTA or 200W (25V,12A max) for RIVER series. The cables should be compatible.

Q: Can you control a Delta using a Bluetooth app?

A: DELTA cannot be controlled via Bluetooth.

Q: How do i get solar panels to work with this?

A: You will need to buy EcoFlow MC4 to XT60 Solar Cable to connect the solar panel to the power station.

Q: What is the maximum current through the 12 vdc output?

A: The maximum current is 8A

Q: Can this be charged by a solar panel at the same time as the car charger?

A: No. it can't. Because they have different voltages.

Q: What is the difference between DC and AC? When would I as an owner use DC?

A: Alternating Current (AC) is a type of electrical current, in which the direction of the flow of electrons switches back and forth at regular intervals or cycles. Current flowing in power lines and normal household electricity that comes from a wall outlet is alternating current.
Direct current (DC) is an electrical current that flows consistently in one direction. The current that flows in a flashlight or another appliance running on batteries is a direct current.
You can use DC to charge things like your phone.

Q: Could this possible charge an EV?

A: It depends on the power request. DELTA's battery capacity is 1260Wh.

Q: How long will this run a 400 watt hps grow light?

    A: For about 2.5 hrs.

Q: Can this device be used to run a 1/2 HP sump pump?

A: It depends on the power request. DELTA's battery capacity is1260Wh and its AC output is 1600W total (Surge 3100W).

Q: Can you add extra batteries to the Delta Power Station?

A: No, you can't add extra batteries to it.

Q: 1800 watt total or 1800 each outlet?

    A: 1800W total.

Q:  Can a extra solar panel be added

A: For 110W solar panel, DELTA can support up to 4 sets. For 160W solar panel, DELTA can connect 3 sets.

Q: I have a espresso mobile van, can I use with my Esperesso machine?

    A:  Please note the output information of the EcoFlow DELTA is AC Output: 1800W (Surge 3300W)total, 120Vac (60Hz)/230Vac (50Hz); USB-A Output (x2): 5V DC, 2.4A, 12W Max, per port; USB-A Fast Charge (x2): 5V DC, 9V DC, 12V DC, 2.4A, 28W Max, per port; USB-C Output (x2): 5V DC, 9V DC, 15V DC, 20V DC, 3A, 60W Max, per port; Car Power Output (x1): 108.8W, 13.6V DC, 8A max
If the appliance power is under DELTA's request, the DELTA will be able to support the devices.

Q: Will I wear it out with continuous use to keep a fan running in a shed? Will the unit last through the 2 yr warranty with continuous low volt usage? Please advise

A: Please note all the battery products will have the same situation. For example, EcoFlow DELTA, the 800 cycles 80% lifespan means the battery capacity will drop to 80% after 800 cycles. The unit will still work normally. While kindly note that its battery life depends on the user's habits, maintenance methods, and frequency of use.
DELTA has 24 months warranty for sure.

Q: How many ah is the battery?

    A: "Ah=Wh/V
    Delta - 1260Wh/50.4V=25Ah
    River pro - 720Wh/28.8V=25Ah"

Q: I see all your graphic for connecting items to the ecflow delta, but none show a definitive picture of home or portable appliance with 3 prong plugs.

A: The EcoFlow DELTAd AC output supports a 3 prong plug. Please check the image below of the AC port, there are small holes in the middle. That is for the third prong.
In order to meet the UL2743 standard, EcoFlow DELTA's sockets are not grounded and we didn't do grounding-free optimization. If you want to charge your appliances with a ground line for safety consideration, it is recommended to do a DIY adapter or purchase one to simulate grounding.

Q: How many years will this unit last?

A: The life span of DELTA Power Station is 800 Cycles to 80%+ capacity. The shelf life of DELTA Power Station is 1 year (after fully charged).

Q: What is the maximum watts of solar you can connect? I was wondering if it can handle 525 watts. 175 x 3 Renogy panels.

A: "If you're using a third-party solar panel, please make sure:
    1. The specification of the solar panel meets the requirement of the device, 400W 10-65V DC 10A max for DELTA and 200W 10-25V DC 12A max for R600/River 600 series;
    2. The connector of the solar panel is MC4 type;
    3. If you're using a solar panel with other connector types, please check out this guide before use: https://bit.ly/333FB5j;
4, please note our generator product already has an MPPT board inside that controls solar charge. If the third brand solar panel has a separate controller, it might affect the solar charge."

Q: If the appliance you are wanting to plug in has a "grounded 3 prong" plug - how do you plug it into the delta setup? It would appear the Delta system can only accept 2 prong plugs ....

A: "The EcoFlow DELTAd AC output supports a 3 prong plug. Please check the image below of the AC port, there are small holes in the middle. That is for the third prong.
In order to meet the UL2743 standard, EcoFlow DELTA's sockets are not grounded and we didn't do grounding-free optimization. If you want to charge your appliances with a ground line for safety consideration, it is recommended to do a DIY adapter or purchase one to simulate grounding."

Q: can the delta be recharged with a generator?

A: If you want to use a gas generator or inverter to charge your EcoFlow DELTA or RIVER product via AC charging cable, please ensure the output power of your gas-operated generator or inverter output power is pure wave power. The output power request is:
DELTA: power above 1500W, current under 20A.

Q: Can this run a 1/3 HP 3 gal. Air compressor. If so, for how long

A: "The devices like the refrigerator and air conditioner are not using continuous power, it only runs when the inside temperature lower than the setting. Then the refrigerator will run for a few mins to get the temperature under the setting. The rest of the time it will stay standby status and not use power. We are not able to know how frequently the refrigerator will run. How many times it will run in an hour. So that we are not able to forecast the exact runtime.
We have tested a 150W refrigerator connected to DELTA and it can be powered for about 7-10 hours."

Q:  does the Delta power station support pass through charging? Some competetors models support charging while being used (discharged) simultaneously with the caveat that it is not recommended for regular use because it will shorten the long term battery life. Is this the case for the Delta power station as well?

A: EcoFlow DELTA can be charging and outputing power in the same time. When you are charging EF DELTA, we do not recommend connecting an electrical appliance with a power over 800w for discharging, because the current capacity of the wall outlet is limited.
